The Layers button sets what the viewer draws under and over your building. Switch the basemap between satellite imagery and a street map, and turn individual reference layers on or off. Layers sits in the viewer controls at the bottom right, next to re-center, north and zoom. Click it to open the panel, click it again or use the X to close.

Turning the site plan overlay off and on from the Layers panel

Layers is available in the 3D Building Viewer and in the Site Plan Viewer in split view and full screen. The docked site plan panel does not have it.

Basemap

Pick what the site sits on:
  • Satellite: aerial imagery of the real site and its surroundings.
  • Street: a street map with roads and place names.

Reference layers

Each layer is a switch. Turning one off hides it without changing your design. The Overlay switch turns off whichever plan the viewer is showing. To choose between the two, use the Render and CAD buttons at the top left of the site plan. See Site Plan Viewer.

What gets saved

Layer settings save with the project, so the viewer opens the way you left it. The two viewers keep separate settings. Turning Labels off in the 3D Building Viewer leaves them on in the Site Plan Viewer.
