The 3D Building Viewer lets you move the selected design in place on its site and see how it responds to site constraints. The site plan for the selected design sits docked beside it; see the Site Plan Viewer.

Viewer toolbar

The viewer toolbar sits in the top-left corner and centralizes the key design actions:
  • Undo / redo recent changes
  • Mirror building across a chosen axis
  • Edit site boundaries and setbacks without leaving the viewer
  • Create a snapshot of the current view for reports or exports

Snapshots

Click Snapshot Snapshot button in the viewer toolbar to save an image of the current view. Your snapshots are kept with the project under Saved files Saved files button, next to it in the toolbar, where you can download them.

Snapshots are also added to the end of the Development Report and Design Report for the design they were taken of.

Viewer controls

Navigation controls live in the bottom-right corner of the viewer:
  • Layers to choose the basemap and turn reference layers on or off, see Viewer Layers
  • Re-center your site in the viewer
  • North arrow to orient your bearings
  • Zoom in and out

Constraint warnings

Property constraints turn red when violated, so you see issues the moment they happen as you rotate or reposition the building.

When the surroundings look flat

The 3D Satellite view uses Google’s 3D map data. Where Google has not captured an area in 3D, the land around your site shows as flat imagery with no neighboring buildings or trees. Your designs and results are not affected.
